Garden Greetings!

It's been a busy weekend in our home and gardens in NC, and guessing it's been much the same for you, for that is the nature of spring!

This weekend was the perfect weekend to take all the houseplants outside, and soon, many of them need to be repotted, divided and propagated.

BUSINESS IDEA

We'll have lots of extras and would love to be able to load up the truck and drive to a parking lot and sell from the tailgate. In fact, that could be a great business idea for anyone with a parking lot.

Set up an automatic toll gate to collect the entry fee, such as $20, then people could drive in and sell from their truck or car, whatever (legal) things they have, from arts and crafts they make, to plants, garden goodies and home stuff, yard sale or flea market style, but from your vehicle rather than a table or booth like at farmers markets and craft shows.

If you've ever been to such a place, we'd love to hear about it.

Blueberries are a great investment. Plant once, harvest for up to 50 years!!!

We're counting down now to our harvest, which should begin in about 6 weeks now.

GOT LOTS OF RAIN OR STANDING WATER?

Anyone here have a rain garden? We don't yet but love this idea and benefits, and especially for yards that get lots of rain and/or standing water.

Spring is a great time to be harvesting some edible tree leaves!

WOW! Our KNOCKOUT ROSE bushes are maxed out in full bloom, virtually overnight! Love these prolific and long-lasting fragrant (mildly) bloomers!
