Garden Greetings, Friend!
Well... with the loss of our vegetable garden to groundhogs, we've turned our attention more to the flowers such as the wonderful black eyed susan.
These add such cheerfully vibrant color to any yard and garden landscape, and (of course!) it even has medicinal benefits and can also be harvested for teas and more. See more in our article on black eyed susan medicinal uses.
If you're already using it for any of its edible/medicinal benefits, we'd love to hear about it.
Meanwhile, we're fortifying our garden defenses (and fences) toward protecting fall crops. Here's a list of what to plant in September by zones.
Wishing you great growing success and healthy harvests!
