| It has been four years since Diana Garland died on September 21st, 2015. NACSW - and so many of our members and friends who knew and loved Diana - continue to mourn her loss.

| For 40 years, Diana was a pillar of NACSW. Our association has been indelibly marked and molded by her passion and tireless commitment to the integration of Christian faith and social work practice. See Diana's Award for Distinguished Service to NACSW for a summary of Diana's myriad contributions to NACSW through the years.
We also invite you to view a video clip of a portion of Diana's workshop from NACSW's Convention 2014 year in Annapolis titled "Congregational Social Work."
The Diana R. Garland Legacy Fund, established by NACSW in her memory in 2015, is being used to support both:
- NACSW's Diana Garland Award for Social Worker Practitioner Excellence (which will be awarded for the fourth time at NACSW's Convention 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana in November
- Innovative scholarship and training focused on the ethical integration of faith and social work practice in a variety of settings - including congregational social work, one of Diana's greatest passions and contributions to both the church and the social work profession.
