FRESH New London
Dear Friends,

It has been great tomato weather at FRESH New London! Big, fat red beefsteaks! Plentiful, fun sungold tomatoes! and a rain bow of colors between yellow and red, and even purple!

We are harvesting tomatoes, handling every one as though it is a gem of rare value.... and they are precious gems to us because we grew them from tiny, fur covered seeds starting in  February or March and have been caring for them ever since!

In this edition of our Newsletter, we share some Good News! We also include an update on our Ledyard Community Garden Project and invite you to our end of the Summer Reportback from Crew Participants. This great event will also include a tee shirt sale and sale of Fall plants like collards and cabbage.

And, before we get there... NewsFlash! FRESH has been getting some ink (no new tattoos), but newspaper ink.

And, we were featured in an article in Connecticut Family Magazine (Summer 2019), "Connecticut Grown," by Dirk Langeveld, which is hard to find online for some unknown reason.

In light of all these developments, we are feeling rooted and we are rising!

Enjoy your tomatoes! Or come have some of ours!
