One of the marketing
techniques I use to promote my OWN books is posting on Facebook Groups.
There are hundreds
of Facebook Groups focused on promoting any permutation of Kindle or Amazon
books -- from groups focusing on FREE only,
or on 99cents only or groups in which any type of book promotion goes.
I know that many of
you have tried this and after a few attempts decide that this simply does not
work.
When you see the
number of posts cycling through some of the larger groups you may think that
your book doesn't stand a chance of being noticed and clicked on.
Here's the
reality. There are hundreds of thousands
of people belonging to these groups. Many of them, like you are authors trying
to promote THEIR books.
When I am actively
promoting in the Facebook Groups I am ONE of those authors. However I am also a reader and I buy or
download (free) hundreds of Kindle books a year. A year ago
I found a free book from an author I kept on seeing in the groups. I read it and was hooked. Over the past year I have purchased every
single one of her TWENTY THREE books …
each selling for either $2.99 or $3.99.
To this day, she continues to promote her free book every single week.
So … do you think it
works for HER? I found her through the
groups and have spent somewhere between $68 to $91 on her books. Since she continues to advertise regularly I
am guessing that I am not the only one buying her books!
The two KEYs to
advertising in the Facebook Groups are
- Consistency
- Persistence
One of the biggest
complaints I hear is that it takes so much time. I hear you.
When I first started I posted daily, manually. Lots of copy/pasting going on. I could only maintain about 25 groups.
Then I found some
auto posting software that really made me happy ... with the software I not only spent less time but could post to four times as many groups. No more boring copy/paste, copy/paste, copy/paste.
Unfortunately, the software I found
and loved is no longer being sold or supported … so my challenge was to find something equal to, or
better. I lucked out and found BETTER!

it up to a month. I'll spend 2 to 3 hours a
month setting up my posts and that's it … they run automatically. Like I said … a game changer.
