Several of my customers have been experimenting with Amazon's new Vella Platform ... for episodic content.
Creating episodic content is NOT new. Serialized fiction became increasingly popular in Britain during the Victorian era. Few people could afford a bound book, but could afford the weekly or monthly installments.
Charles' Dicken's "The Pickwick Papers" was first published in 1836 and rapidly popularized serialized fiction throughout England and the United States.
Vella is a return to this once popular method of publishing.
The BIG question ... is this a viable alternative for YOU? Can you actually make $$ with Vella? Or are you better off sticking with the "now traditional" self-publishing model?
Some of you will be familiar with S.P. Somtow ... iconic writer, composer and filmmaker.
I had the wonderful opportunity of interviewing him about HIS experience with Vella.
