"Maybe I shouldn't bother.
I should have sent this newsletter out over a week ago."
MY excuse, and I know this is often your excuse too ... Is that "things happened."
But now that "things" have been resolved, why am I still hesitating?
My initial thought was it's too late. But then I realized that this is a world of INSTANT. In less than a minute you can send out messages on Facebook, Twitter(X) INSTAgram and more. So it isn't too late!
This message is to let you know that you still have time to develop a short campaign to sell your books for TWO of the biggest worldwide events of the year.
IF there is a fit for any of your books.
JUST GO FOR IT!
If you only have time to do one tweet that's better than none. Maybe you can set up a 5-day Facebook series, and replicate it on Instagram. OR write a blog post (or two) and send out a few newsletters.
JUST GO FOR IT.
Do whatever you can.
The audience for the two following events is in the billions..
Chinese New Year. February 10th.
This year ushers in the year of the Dragon. Over 2 BILLION people celebrate Chinese New Year.
In Chinese culture, the Dragon holds a significant place as an auspicious and extraordinary creature, unparalleled in talent and excellence. It symbolizes power, nobility, honor, luck, and success. This year's DRAGON will bring about opportunities, changes, and challenges.
If your books have anything to do with dragons you should start promoting them right now. Promote shamelessly! If your books include Chinese characters or locations, use your imagination and see if you can find a fit or an excuse to promote it.
Valentine's Day. February 14th.
The second huge event is Valentine's Day. To give you an inkling about how BIG this is, the "experts"
estimate that Valentine's Day spending in the United States is expected to reach just under 26 billion U.S. dollars in 2024. Did you notice that this number is for the US only?
The United States leads the pack, but there are an additional 28 countries that celebrate Valentine's Day. You may be surprised to find out that South Africa and India are amongst the top contenders.
If your book(s) have any hint of love, romance, relationships or friendship ... JUST GO FOR IT.
Be sure to think outside the box--anything that Amazon classifies as romance is a given, however there are many nonfiction and even children's books that could be a fit.
Enough said
Just go for it
Starting today!
