Is Your 2022 Book Marketing Plan Completed Yet? Is it in writing? Is it ON your calendar (pencil or electronic is good).
It’s already one WEEK into the New Year and it you haven’t already planned and outlined what you are going to do to sell your book(s) you are missing out — BIG TIME
When working with my Fiverr customers I have noticed there are three different “personalities” at work:
- Those who order the day or day after they have booked their FREE or 99cent promos. Most of the time I CAN’T fit them into my schedule RIGHT NOW so they either miss a few precious days of their price promos or miss them entirely.
- Those who order one week or more in advance. Which is perfect because YES I can usually fit them into my schedule easily. These customers ARE planning ahead.
- And then I have some steady customers who actually order up to three months in advance. They book their promos on Amazon first and send me the information for all their books at one time. This frees them up to focus on their writing and work on “other” marketing tactics for three months at a time. These are “look ahead” marketers who plan everything six months to a year or more in advance.
Planning ahead of time doesn’t guarantee book selling success … because you have to include strategy and marketing knowhow (this can be learned) into your plan. BUT planning after the fact simply does NOT work.
At the same time take a look at an article that took me WAY too long to finish … why? Because in order to finish it I had to write 16 other articles first. It provides YOU with an outline of ALL the things you should have in place BEFORE you hit the publish button.
