Very cruel and unusual...I do the most inhumane things:
I work people to the bone...
Well no actually not really LOL!!!
I'm tough...but a fair leader IMHO!...
I worked in management and if people told me that they weren't going to show up consistently they could look for another job...
I ran a tight ship...because I believed that if you don't show up for work and put your heart into it...you won't show up for the other commitments in your life...
I didn't allow people not to show up...
But I was like that because I wanted to push people...
And I wanted to reward the people that WERE motivated to show up and try hard...
It was one of the things I hated most:
Seeing people promoted because of politics and being favored by managers/owners rather than being promoted because of credentials and work ethic...
In my opinion, this is one of the most detrimentally damaging things a company can do...because they kill the initiative the other hard-working employees had...
and ironically hurt their financial bottom line by causing hard-working employees to leave...
I'm glad I gave my job back to the economy...
Spending 40 years navigating a minefield of connections to the top was too slow for me...
Ever find yourself in situations like that?
