FPL Door Locks & Hardware offers the ONLY replacement for the old style California Classics sliding door locks; FPL's Governor mechanism!

The old style California Classics sliding door lock required a large bore into the door.  As the years have gone by and they need to be replaced, there were NO alternatives to replace them!


FPL's Governor can prevent homeowners from having to replace the whole door; just replace what's broken, the lock!


Our lock replacement uses a European Profile Cylinder with a Schlage Keyway


Available in the following finishes:

US 3, 5, 10B, 15, 15A, 26, OR 26D




Before buying the Governor lock set, PLEASE CONFIRM THE FOLLOWING to ensure that you do in fact have a old style California Classics Lock!


  • 1" threaded mortise cylinder
  • Lever below cylinder
  • 3-1/2" Center to Center (lever to cylinder)
  • 8-1/4" mechanism front plate with Round receiver
