Hello Friend!

Can you believe that it is November ... already!? Time has a way of slipping by when you have so much fun going on. And here at Fox Country Quilts, we definitely have been having fun!

Chip and Donna are making daily trips out to the farm to get on the status of the new shop, training center, and retreat.

Yes! We have dirt! Even though we have about 26 acres of land that is filled with dirt, we are so excited to see this dirt! The construction crew has begun work!

Stay tuned for more updates. Start planning on visiting us in the Spring in our new building!

In November, we will be wrapping up fall themed classes and activities and begin working on Christmas themed projects! We will continue with a few combined Virtual (via Zoom) and in-person classes because they are just so much fun! We would love to have you join us in class or webcam!

Friendsgiving Event

November 4, 5, & 6

Because it is November and we are thankful for our friends, we will be holding a Friendsgiving Event in the store, November 4 thru 6! Come and go as you like to learn about what we have going on in the store now and what we have planned for 2022.

We will be demonstrating awesome piecing, machine embroidery and longarm quilting techniques. We will also announce the winner of the October Jelly Roll giveaway.

Mastering Edge-to-Edge Quilting

In this LECTURE/HANDS-ON class, Dr. Donna Smith will take you from beginning edge-to-edge quilting with the Pro-Stitcher to mastery in the fastest time possible and is the most complete training that you will find anywhere, no matter what your Pro-Stitcher level is when you start the course. The lessons are carefully planned to be taken sequentially, so you don’t have to spend your hours and energy hunting through countless YouTube videos, trying to figure out where to go next.

Are you tired of paying to have someone else quilt your quilt tops for you? Rent time on our Handi Quilter longarm quilting machines. We have several longarm quilting machines in our Commerce, Texas Studio.

Machine rental must be scheduled ahead of time. There may be opportunities to quilt on short notice – just call us and see if one of our machines is available.

Quilting Makes the Quilt

It’s not a quilt till it’s quilted, right? Start with a simple design, then pull different elements from that design to build a cohesive plan for your quilting. In this Virtual class, Gail Berry-Graham will show us how to add echoing, exciting backgrounds, and complementary designs to create a masterpiece. Start with sketching out your ideas, then move on to marking tools to get all your great ideas on your quilt, and then take a look at how thread can really make designs pop.
