Sunday morning, June 11, and I’m still fulfilling my role as bachelor of the week. With Donna and Pam still in Salt Lake City for the HandiQuilter retailers’ academy, Penny and I are holding down the fort in the shop. In the evenings, with Donna gone, I’m sitting watching TV by myself and it makes me so glad I’m not a permanent bachelor. Donna and I married in 2014, and I think if my whole life had ended up with watching TV alone, don’t think I could have handled it very well. I retired from the university a couple years ago, and because of our quilt shop and retreat, I’m more busy now than when I had a full-time job.
At the retailers’ academy, HandiQuilter shows and tells the retailers any developments or new ideas and promotions that are going on. Every month has a different promotion designed to benefit customers who purchase a longarm quilting machine. This month, thread packages is the promotion.
