Sienna
Dear Friends,
If you haven’t visited our shop within the past four weeks or so, you may be surprised to learn that we have a new shop member: A new Puppy!
She was born December 12, so is barely over 4 months old. Same dog variety as one of our outside dogs, Zeus, but far smaller. She is maybe only a foot tall or less, and weighs in at about 7 pounds. She will grow to be only Sandy size or perhaps a pound or two more. She is a golden doodle, but unlike Zeus, who is all black, she is a much different color. If you will get into your crayon box and pull out your “Raw Sienna” color, that’s close to the color she is. Her name is “Bobbin!”
Unlike Zeus and Bailey, she stays in the shop with us and is always either a bed or lap dog, lays beside Donna while Donna is working, or else is pretty much underfoot. She has turned out to be a good intelligent dog, but is still in her puppy stage. Goes outside sometimes for her business, especially first thing in the morning, but is frequently accident prone either on her puppy pad or else just on the floor. Only serious misbehaviors thus far is that twice she has somehow gotten hold of a sewing machine cord and started chewing on it. And of course, like many dogs, she likes shoes.
So far, everyone who has come into the shop and seen her has fallen in love with her, somewhat to the neglect of Sandy. Sandy doesn’t seem to be way jealous of her despite the divided attention from us between the two dogs. Bobbin has taken the predominate position relative to food, but they are about equal as playmates.
Here is a song dedicated to Bobbin, sung to the tune of “I’m a Little Tea Pot:”
I’m a little Pee spot, sopping wet;
Tried to hold it longer, but this is what you get.
As I grow up older, you won’t to fret,
I’ll soon be a dryer pet.
Call to action for this e-mail: Come in to do some additional shopping and to fall in love with Bobbin.
