For more than twenty years in October, folks have come together to campaign for increased awareness of breast cancer. It's not just about educating people about the importance of early screening, but also to offer information and support to anyone who has been affected.

Last year, Moda created Stitch Pink to join in the campaign to raise awareness and this year they continue the stitch along. Each day in October, Moda will share a block that goes in the grunge sampler. There are a total of thirty 12" finished blocks and the finished quilt will be 64" x 76".

Last week Donna set up a new Facebook group for to get quilters together virtually for a quilt along and our first one is Moda's Stitch Pink!

That's right! Every day in October, we will be sharing the daily pattern released from Moda. AND because we know it will be difficult for some to come into the shop every day, we will be recording the instructions and posting the videos in the group.

Once the quilt top is finished the first week in November, we will also begin a "how do I quilt this" video series. The goal for the group is to go from start (piecing) to finished (cuddle up or gift).

Even if you do not quilt ... join in the front end and get a top finished and then pass your top to a quilter! Or if you just like to quilt, join us on the back end in November and add your quilting expertise!
