Hi Friend,
Dear LA-QGAA Member,
As hosts for the Longarm Quilting Guild Across America (LA-QGAA), we are considering dissolving this on-line quilting guild, and would like your opinion on this. The guild was started when the Covid-19 pandemic was preventing physical social interactions. During that time, most of us were unable to attend regular guild meetings, or engage in other outings other than limited trips to the grocery store. Now that things have opened up again, the same need for an on-line guild no longer exists. Regular attendance to our on-line guild meetings has been quite limited, and the guild did not grow and much as we were initially expecting.
In addition, with all of the longarm educators from HandiQuilter and Babylock now traveling again, much of which occurs on Sundays, it has become increasingly difficult to find any who are free to be our presenter at any of our monthly meetings.
In view of this, we proposed at our last meeting that we should dissolve our guild. We hope the guild has given you some enjoyment, some pleasant social interaction with others of like interest, and some valuable learning opportunities. Please respond with you comments and opinions on whether believe we should try to continue the guild, or going ahead and letting it dissolve.
