Sending flight plans to a C130 Hercules in the Arctic
Lynden Air Cargo are sending large text emails from their base operations in Alaska to their C130 Hercules aircraft, no-matter where they may be in the world. We developed this DZMx feature specifically for them and they are using it to send detailed flight plan information. Now all DZMx customers running firmware v2.16.0, or later, can use it.
Lynden's story is a fascinating one; they operate anywhere in the world and they carry almost anything - even live killer whales and wood bison! It doesn't stop there... they do a lot more than just carrying cargo.

Are your pilots made of the right stuff? Few aviators are unfamiliar with the 1983 movie The Right Stuff. As its title suggests, it implies that the “right” personality traits for a (1950s) test pilot were gung-ho personal courage and an occasional disregard for rules and procedures in order to get the job done. With test pilots being killed at a rate of about one a week in the 1950s, perhaps the film title should have been punctuated with a question mark... |
