| | | | | We are so grateful - for YOU! |
| | This year has been a difficult one for many. Animals still need us, surrenders are more frequent than ever, and 2020 saw the unprecedented situation of shelters around the country closing for Covid precautions. One silver lining in all of this? YOU!
Quarantine led to a record breaking number of new fosters and adoptions. In 2020, the Feline Foundation has been able to rescue and adopt out 35% more cats than in any other year in our history! Because of caring people like you, the Feline Foundation has rescued and rehomed more than 400 cats and kittens in just over 10 months, thanks to a tireless all-volunteer crew of transporters, fosters, coordinators, and administrators. You might see a furry face you recognize above!
Today we wanted to share how thankful we are for our village. Whether you shared a post, donated money or time, or opened your home to foster or adopt a new furry family member, together we are saving lives!
Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving from our homes to yours.

| | We're Not the Only Ones Thankful!
The "Seinfeld Trio" of tabbies - Jerry, Kramer and George - came from a rural shelter in southern Virginia. The problem with a trio of kittens is just that they number only three - the Seinfelds had no Newman! Even though we prefer to adopt them in pairs - most people want just two and there will usually be one left alone... but not this time!
They were scared when we rescued them, huddling in their carrier, but then a wonderful adopter saw the trio and took them all home! |

Here they are in a food coma after a wonderful Thanksgiving meal - we think they look pretty thankful, don't you?! |
| | | | | It's Almost Giving Tuesday!
Right on the heels of Black Friday comes Giving Tuesday - a chance to make amends for - ahem - spending a little too much on material things. Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after U.S. Thanksgiving in the United States (this year December 1). It is a global movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world, through one day of coordinated giving. This year, we ask that you give in support of Ziggy, a little kitten that desperately needed a chance - a chance that she got from FFGW. |
| Stay tuned for FFGW's Giving Tuesday email, telling Ziggy's story and providing details on how you can become part of this global effort by supporting rescue locally.
Until then, everyone at FFGW wishes you a happy Thanksgiving - stay safe, stay healthy.
(Of course, we won't tell if you jump the gun and give now - you can always donate through our website, or just use the button below - we'll be thankful no matter when!) |
