It never felt like winter, but it seems too soon for spring... but our spring mailing will be reaching mailboxes in the next few days.  

We're telling tales of happy tails - stories of tails that your support helped find wonderful forever homes.  You can preview our mailing below - but we could only squeeze in one tale, so we've added a couple more here!

Your support allows SO many more happy tails and we'll be sharing them with you in this newsletter along with other FFGW news and events throughout the year!

Dracula - The Goalie!

I adopted from the FFGW at Petsmart in Leesburg at the beginning of July! I was so lucky to be able to adopt this little guy! You know him as Luke. I now have named him Dracula and I want everyone to know he has a great home and is being spoiled beyond belief! I bought him a matching Montreal Canadiens jersey so we can watch hockey together when it starts in a few months! I look forward to many many years with my new boy!

Molly & Pearl


Molly and Pearl were taken in with help from a rural rescue that FFGW has worked with for many years.  They were living outside, in poor conditions.



They were both on the list of endangered cats each week, and had been at the shelter for months...  and each week we hesitated to take them, not knowing what to do with them if they did not adjust to being indoors.  But they tore at our hearts, and so, we took a chance and put them in a loving foster home where they immediately breathed a sigh of relief and said "THIS is what we were waiting for!"  Molly and Pearl have since been adopted to a wonderful home where they are pampered and cherished. We are so thrilled with this very happy ending!
Your faith in us, allows us to have faith in cats like Molly & Pearl!
