| | | Reese and Rosie follow a tradition started two years ago by FFGW alum Elvis, who - we were told - stood up and uttered his namesake's trademark phrase when he was adopted just before Thanksgiving! At FFGW, we also want to say "thank you, thank you very much" for all that you - adopters, volunteers, donors and supporters - have enabled us to do this year. Our year-end letter will soon start showing up in your mailboxes, and tells all about the the kitties who want to say "thank you" for rescuing them - but we just can't wait to tell those stories and say thank you! #GivingTuesday is an unprecedented global movement of generosity founded in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation. For 2018, Facebook will be matching donations to nonprofits, allowing individuals from across America to join together and raise funds for the world changing causes that matter to them.
No matter how we may try to cover our eyes and ears with our paws, we all know that the Holiday shopping frenzy is underway. A great antidote to Black Friday and CyberMonday is GivingTuesday, where the focus turns from shopping to giving. Every donation on Tuesday, November 27 will help FFGW save more cats.
Please talk to co-workers, forward emails and share the link on Tuesday. Together, we CAN save more cats and kittens.

Well, that too, but actually what we meant was that the season of wondering what gift to give someone who has everything is upon us. We have a suggestion - how about a book full of rescue cats that your support enabled us to save in 2018, with a twist - YOUR cat can be in there too!

(Get pre-approved for adoption by filling out an adoption form online today.) VOLUNTEERS also needed for setup and tear down at Reston.
