At least, that's what the Hallmark Channel tells us, unveiling their cheesy seasonal movies -- and we're not above telling a few love stories of our own! After all, what better exemplifies love but that purrfect bond between human and feline... or feline and feline!

According to a recent survey, 14% of Australians would rather spend Valentine's Day with their pets than their partner!
Here at FFGW, we don't get to make that choice, since the cats won't take "no" for an answer! One thing is for certain, no one loves you like your cat. Those who live with pets understand the pure love that they bring to our lives... they're never upset that the sink is full of dirty dishes (actually, they like that!) and when you're too tired to talk, they're happy just to curl up with you. A cat may be the only pet with whom you can spend quality time... when you're both asleep!
Even more enjoyable than the love our pets give us is the satisfaction that we get as volunteers when we find that right match of cat and adopter, and we have a part in enabling someone else to receive that love.
This Valentine's Day - and beyond - we're asking you to help us spread the love. There's something very important that you can do that would help FFGW enormously. A key element in our mission to rescue cats is the availability of foster homes - but even if you can't foster, there's a way for you to make a HUGE difference and to help us out in a big way - you can spread the word!

Looking for a new cat for your family? Have time to help with set up? Visit our monthly adoption fair in Reston at Just Cats Clinic or weekly at the Leesburg PetSmart. (Get pre-approved for adoption by filling out an adoption form online today.) VOLUNTEERS also needed for setup and tear down at Reston.
