| Well, there you go. Christmas and New Years has come and gone again. Amidst the craziness and hype that goes with the lead-up, it all seems to pass so quickly once back at work on the first day of the new year.
Now we have a new type of hype. The hype of a new beginning. Everyone is making resolutions (goals) to smash 2017. Got to love that enthusiasm. The FES Team are all back at work today and I will be the first to admit, we are all taking some time to get going. But you know what, that's okay.
Before we make time for 2017, and get truly going we like to reflect on 2016 and what we achieved as individuals and as a business. We too have the vigour to make things happen, however, we also understand the importance of giving credit to what has been achieved. It is through recognising and crediting achievements, small wins or personal differences in where we are now and where we were last year that shows us we are on the right path, growing and improving.
One quote that sticks with us and helps us recognise the small steps is from Bill Gates.
"Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years."
So if you like, this email is part of the 2016 reflection process. It is us recognising where we are and where we have come from.
2016, the FES Team thanks you for all the enquirers, old customers that have moved on, new customers and new relationships that have moved in. The challenges, the big wins and almighty screw-ups and all the highs and lows that went with it.
2016 we thank you for it all, as we are now better prepared, better educated, have better products and services and are more agile than we were a year ago. We thank you 2016 and thank you our customers, colleagues and contacts for being part of it with us. |
