When I first discovered Feng Shui I fell in love with this art, but I also felt overwhelmed and confused.
To make sense of all the information I came across, I started making charts on a notepad.
I put together nine major things that needed to be done in a home for good Feng Shui, and I separated them into sets of three.
One set for the architecture, one set for the interior design and one set for the furniture. What I Didn’t KnowWhat I didn’t know at the time the motif of “nine steps” was used repeatedly in ancient Chinese ancient architecture and in sacred ceremonies to connect Heaven and Earth – to bring Heaven to Earth.
I didn’t know, at the time, that Feng Shui acts over three levels of reality – Heaven, Earth and Humankind.
Heaven is related to thoughts, humankind to emotions and earth to physical action.
Unknowingly, I had tapped into knowledge from ancient Chinese philosophy by coming up with 9 steps, separated into three groups.
