The indigenous people of Ecuador in South America believe hummingbirds bring messages from Heaven. With over 120 species in a country the size of Colorado, those messages can be very complex.

The Black Breasted Puffleg (see the picture above) lives high in the Andes mountains, close to where I was born. To survive the nightly freezes it has developed white tufts around the legs, that look like tiny fluffy pants. It’s the cutest thing.

The Black Breasted Puffleg is endangered. The way you save an endangered bird is not by acting on the bird, but on its habitat, its environment.

The environment is key.
Your environment is your success.

Like a hummingbird, you too can thrive if you work on your environment.

Something really interesting happened this week, which involves this hummingbird, messages from Heaven and an old friend from high school. Let me tell you about it.

This year, for my birthday (May 30th), I started a fundraiser on Facebook to help this tiny hummingbird. This created a chain of events that once again confirms my belief, and the Feng Shui teaching, that Heaven always watches out for us and supports us in unexpected ways.
