When Feng Shui came to be, thousands of years ago, there were no master bedrooms as we know them today.
Whether the home was humble or a palace, bedrooms were alcoves inside of larger spaces, that would be closed up with curtains for privacy and intimacy.
As societies and homes evolved, bedrooms came to have walls with doors that could be locked.
The master bedroom is usually the largest bedroom in any home. In such a large room, sometimes it's hard to create intimacy. It is also too tempting to add things to it than don't belong in this room.
Creating intimacy in the master bedroom today
To create intimacy in the master bedroom limit the functions to just three:
Resting and sleeping.
Making love.
Reading.
Whenever you start adding other functions to the master bedroom, you lose intimacy. The most destructive things that you could add to this room are:
Let your bedroom be a bedroom, not a gym, home office or chapel.
If you limit the functions of the master bedroom to the three listed above you will be creating the right mood for intimacy. ❤️❤️
We're starting master bedrooms in the Feng Shui Dream Home Creation Lab this week
Getting tips via email and reading articles on my website and blog are great ways to learn. However, nothing beats getting my direct feedback on your master bedroom during our Thursday evening critiques. You get to participate in these weekly critiques if you join the Feng Shui Dream Home Creation Lab.
This week we're talking about the location of the master bedroom on the bagua map of your home and how that could affect your relationships. For example, a master bedroom in the relationships corner is great, but a master bedroom in the wealth corner is trouble!
Get the details here.
If you join this program I'll give you direct feedback on what you can do in your master bedroom.
