Friend,
When I was a young adult, my father told me that he had taught me not to trust anybody when I was two years old.Â
He said he encouraged me to climb on top of a high dresser and then jump into the air so he would catch me. He let me do this several times, and then he let me fall onto the hardwood floor.
Trust is set by your dad
Your ability to trust was set by your relationship with your dad or the main father figure in your life.Â
Trust is a sign of a healthy mind. Being distrustful is a sign of lack of mental and emotional health.Â
If you had a wonderful relationship with your father, youâre more likely to feel like "the world is your oyster" and that doors will always open for you. If you had a troubled relationship with your dad, you may doubt yourself and feel afraid to take risks.Â
In Feng Shui we work on two spots of the home to deal with issues around trust. These two spots are associated with the life area we call Helpful People, Spiritual Life and Travel. This life area is associated with the concept of the father, and working on it can help heal the father wound.
In a new class I'll teach next week, I'll talk more about how your relationship with your father influences your relationship with God and your sense of trust. The class will be recorded live on Tuesday June 20th, 2023 at 5 PM New York time, and the replay will be published two days later. REGISTER HERE>> |
