Last year I started a series to Understand the Feng Shui Nine Life Areas at a much deeper level. My plan was to release one class every two months, in this order:
Career, Life Mission and Individuality (released)
Marriage, Relationships and Partnerships (released)
Health, Family and Community (released)
Wealth, Prosperity and Self Worth (released)
Center of Good Fortune and Gratitude (released)
Helpful People, Spiritual Life and Travel (released)
Children, Creativity and Fun (happening this month)
Wisdom, Self-Knowledge and Rest (happening in December)
Fame, Reputation and Social Life (happening in February 2024)
In the beginning, registrations and attendance were great. Later on, not so much. It’s not that the later classes are less interesting or not as important. It’s that most people focus their attention on career, love, health and wealth.Â
People are not so crazy about the other life areas like good luck, helpful people, wisdom, creativity, or reputation.Â
The problem is that the life areas work in pairs, so if you want to improve the marriage area, you also have to work on wisdom. If you want to improve wealth, you also need to work on helpful people. And if you want to improve health, you also have to work on children and creativity.
If you see a class on children, creativity and fun coming up and think, well, "I’m not an artist" or "I don't have kids" and let it go — you may be forgetting that this is the life area that rules the relationships with your children, especially after they grow up and you have that empty nest. You may be forgetting that this life area is related also to health, family and community, and that you can't have one without the other.
