Why Should Students Take 15 Credit Hours?
  • Taking 15 credit hours can prevent you from spending extra time and money on your college education.
  • Studies have shown that students who take less than 15 credits hours a semester will not graduate within the normal intended 4 year span for a bachelors degree.
  • Another important thing to know is full-time tuition starts at 12 credit hours and if you take additional credits your tuition price will not be increased.
  • It will minimize any potential student loan debt.
  • It will also most likely help avoid burnout/course overload.
Yes, math is relevant here, Sorry!

To obtain a bachelors degree you must complete a 120 credits hours. And to complete that in 4 years (8 semesters) you'll have to take an average of at least 15 credit hours a semester.

There are 8 semesters in four years. 120 credits divided by 8 semesters equals....15 credit hours!
