CONGRATS SENIORS!

Congrats to all of our seniors who have been accepted and committed to a college this week! We're continuing to celebrate you all month so please respond to this email with a picture wearing the gear of the college you've chosen to be featured on our page!

Top 3 Factors when considering a college/university:

1. Academic Programs/Support: Some schools mandate the subjects you must study to receive a degree, while others allow more choice. Ensure the school has the curriculum you're looking for and support (like our trio programs) to ensure you get the help you need while away from home.

2. Graduation Rate: It's a sign of an institution's quality and student satisfaction! It will also help with your financial planning. Review the statistics of your current choices on https://collegescorecard.ed.gov/

3. Affordability/Cost: Make sure you consider ALL potential costs, not just tuition. Please compare your financial aid award packages before making your final decision.

1. Identify your skills
- What are your talents/interests?

2. Reach out to experts in your interested field
- They'll inform you of their experience and give you the inside scoop of what may not be mentioned in books, online, etc. You'll also have a chance to talk to people in different departments to see if their work interests you.

3. Internships and volunteer work
- You'll get a hands-on experience and day-to-day understanding that will help you decide if it's for you or not.
