FAFSA! FAFSA! Read All About It...
The 2018-2019 FAFSA filing season is just around the corner; here are a few things to keep in mind.
Important Things to Remember:

  • The 2018-2019 FAFSA application will open October 1, 2017
  • Before you complete the FAFSA, be sure to create a FSA ID (If you are filing as a dependent student, your parents must create their own separate FSA ID)
  • You can complete your FAFSA online at www.fafsa.gov

Before you complete the FAFSA, be sure to gather the following documents:

  • Your social security number 
  • Your parents' social security number (If you are a dependent student)
  • Your driver license number if you have one 
  • Your Alien Registration number if you are not a U.S. Citizen
  • Federal tax information or tax returns, including IRS W-2 information for yourself (and parents if you are a dependent student)
  • Records of untaxed income 
  • Information on cash; checking and savings account balances, investments, and assets for yourself (and your parents if you are a dependent student)
