| There is no need to minimize yourself.
Almost everywhere we turn there is a message telling us that we have to minimize our body, our voice, our personality, our talent, our opinion, and even our needs. As women who navigate the world in abundant bodies we are constantly inundated with the pressure to be smaller in every way.
That's exactly why I created the "Take Up Space Experience" for Fat Women of Color™. I wanted to give you other women just like you the opportunity to be in a space that celebrates expansion. I want you to be in the room with other Black and Brown women of size and know that you are not alone.
Take Up Space is coming back! This time we will be in the beautiful city of Atlanta, Georgia. The planning team is already fired up and getting things ready for you. We are using our creativity to ensure that this experience is bigger and better than the last one (and the last one was amazing). We want you to feel seen. We want you to be heard. We want you to make connections with other women and form friendships. Most importantly we want you to be comfortable, relaxed, and take up all the space you need.
