Dear Families,
Although a wide range of exciting events are happening in the world where the Gospel is being shared and people are coming to salvation, many in our own nation have a great hatred toward Jesus. These people despise the name and person of Jesus Christ. Yet, how can this be when He is the One Who came to save men from their sins? As Christians, how can we honor the name of Jesus Christ and bring glory to His name in this time in history where His own prophecy reminds us that “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you” (John 15:18)?
For our May Message of the Month, we have chosen one of the opening keynote sessions from our Big Sandy Family Conference held in April. Our conference theme verse was II Corinthians 4:6: “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” |
