From Bible study and witnessing classes to painting watercolors and working out, the Excel classroom is engaging and filled with variety. In this email, we invite you to “meet” the instructors — women who have a grace-filled confidence in who God has called them to be, and in where He has called them to serve.
Join us at Excel, where together we will seek to grow closer to Christ while learning valuable life skills together. Also, we’ll enjoy moments of sister-to-sister mentorship and growth in a nurturing environment. Whether during morning workouts, afternoon coffee hours, or evening times of fellowship, Excel offers young ladies the opportunity to join others on a journey of Gospel-centered living!

Meet a few of our 2022 instructors:

Sarah (Mally) Hancock is a nationally-known speaker and the author of Before You Meet Prince Charming and Speak Truth in Your Heart. With a passion for discipling young ladies to live fruitfully for the Lord, Sarah challenges girls to identify the root lies behind the struggles they face and replace them with the truth of God’s Word. At Excel, Sarah will be sharing on the topics of purity, witnessing, and disciple-making. |
Ruthie Westfahl is the director of the JOY Program, a discipleship ministry at a women’s maximum-security state prison. At Excel, Ruthie will teach on women’s ministry, spiritual warfare, and evangelism — showing how the Gospel gives us the courage to love and serve wherever God calls. |
Charissa Christopherson is the kitchen manager at the ALERT and IBLP campus in Big Sandy, TX. From delivering mountains of food for the ALERT battalion to piping delicate cream puffs for “high teas,” Charissa delights in creating beauty in the food she prepares and loves showing others how to do the same. |
Karen West is a professional artist, photographer, and the owner of Reborn Studios. Using skillful hand-lettering, watercolors, and calligraphy, Karen communicates Scriptural truths with elegant beauty. A former Excel graduate, she is excited to share her artistic skills with other young ladies. |
Nirel Castelino is a student of holistic health and nutrition with a flair for exotic foods. For Nirel, the Gospel applies to every area of life, including the world of nutrition. With a B.S. in Natural Sciences and Mathematics, she loves to teach other young ladies about God’s design for nutrition and the body. |
