We are planning special times of prayer and thanksgiving in November across the country and we would love to have you join us!

Dear Families,


Throughout the Scriptures we are exhorted and challenged about the crucial importance of prayer in our lives as believers. We know that if we want to see change in our nation, in our families, and in our individual lives, we need to be earnestly seeking the Lord in prayer.


In light of this, we would like to announce that we are planning Men’s Prayer Summits across the country the weekend before Thanksgiving! These events will be held simultaneously at our Big Sandy, Oak Brook, and Northwoods campuses. They will start Thursday evening, November 21, and go through Saturday, November 23, at dinner time.

For those who cannot come to any of these locations, we want to encourage your own effort to gather some serious-minded men to pray at your homes, in your churches, or in many communities across the world.


With that weekend being after the elections in America, and in close proximity to the US Thanksgiving holiday, we will plan to make these events special, set apart times for men to focus on thanksgiving and intercessory prayer.


We will have encouraging messages, focused prayer times, and possibly some outdoor activities like hiking. Sons thirteen years and older are welcome to attend with their Dads. These prayer summits will be hosted by our staff at the three locations. The hosts will direct the sessions and times of prayer.


 

We want this event to be cost effective for men interested in attending. The total cost is only $60 per person which includes lodging. Donations are welcome to help cover food costs. We plan to make the meals family-style at these events where we purchase groceries and prepare the meals together.

What if you can't join us in person at one of these Men’s Prayer Summits? We encourage you to still gather with other believers and participate in this important autumn prayer initiative.


Closer to the time of the event we plan to send out ideas of how you can join in from your local area for this special time of prayer. These ideas will include suggested messages to watch and an opportunity to participate in a Google Meet call the opening night of the Men’s Prayer Summit.
