Its Jonathan Burgess at false-favourites blog here. This newsletter is something quite different from my usual horse racing topics.
The intention of this email is to reach out and find out which of you lovely people like to read crime fiction, as this is something I've been an avid fan of for years. So much so, I decided to try my hand at writing in this genre, and would like to get your thoughts/interests on this subject.

Most of us like a good murder mystery, especially if there is a lovable protagonist fighting against the forces of evil. We want to be part of their journey, help them solve the riddle, one clue at the time.
We love to be surprised when the killer turns out to be who we least expected. Best of all, unlike a movie, a good book will keep you going for days, depending on how fast you read that is of course.
Hopefully my first novel: The Killer Shadow Thieves - set in my hometown of Stoke on Trent, will be available on amazon in the next few weeks...
