Back in 2013, Eric reached out to me for one-on-one coaching.

He had a website selling DVDs in the U.S. [at the time this was a 

decent business model] and had generated 68,000 in only 6 months.

Unfortunately, due to changes in Google's algorithm, he went from 

page 1 to page 5 overnight and his income virtually disappeared.

 

I suggested this plan for him:

1. Ask his visitors a couple of simple questions about what movies 

and shows they're interested in.

2. Invite them to join his list to get updates on DVDs they might like.

Just those two steps were enough to not only bring him back to 

multiple 5 figs each month, but also double his current income.

Unfortunately, Eric couldn't follow my advice..

 

He tried a bunch of “other” things but his site never recaptured its past glory. 

He sold it for next to nothing and had to beg his old boss for a job.

Looking back, there were a few issues that made it impossible for 

Eric to move forward:

1. Building a list required a lot of technical know-how [especially at that time].

2. Finding the right traffic source can be a royal pain in the neck.

3. The technology to help you segment your audience wasn't as developed 

back then.

Fast forward to 2021.

I now use a new type of funnel that lets you create a highly responsive list 

in any niche and generate commissions passively.
