Subject: What we can learn from trees

Trees can help your music studio

NOTE: You are receiving this email because you signed up for educational updates from GroupLessons.com

This is group month. We are sending out educational videos and resources throughout the month to educate studios on the massive advantages you can bring to your school and your students.

If you no longer wish to receive emails about group lessons, just click here. It will silence our group emails from the rest of the month.

The University of Arizona built a biosphere to learn about how living systems work.

The plan was to study ecosystems in isolation and learn how to modify them to suit our needs.

What we actually learned was far better.

We learned that trees need wind.

Trees would grow in the biosphere faster than they grew in the wild. It sounded like a great thing, we could learn how to grow wood faster and prevent deforestation and fix the planet.

Those same trees had one issue though…

The wood was horrible.

They fell down more frequently than wild trees, the lumber wasn’t as useful for carpentry, they were just large, fragile trees.

The moral of the story?

You need adversity and challenge to become the best possible version of yourself.

I certainly learned this when I switched to group lessons.

After just a year of running group lessons…

  • I was a better teacher

  • My communication and marketing skills were better

  • My studio was larger

  • My income was much better

  • Even my students were better!

This is why we created the Piano Express group method…

We wanted to share our method and system that:

  • Increases student practice time and engagement

  • Produces students who meet rigorous testing standards

  • Allows studios to see up to 240 students per week with just two teachers

  • Includes comprehensive teacher training to increase teaching effectiveness and consistency

  • Generates a multiplier in revenue, increasing profitability for studios

  • Decreases scheduling headaches and increase flexibility

  • Ensures consistent revenue and decreases billing confusion

  • Increases job satisfaction for music teachers

  • Promotes work-life balance for teachers to increase job satisfaction and effectiveness

  • Can be utilized by both large music academies and smaller studios that are wanting to scale

But, please don’t take my word for it…

We are going to share the underlying principles behind our group method… that you could use with any method!

We are going to do this in a live training at the end of this month.

Here’s what we’re going to cover in this class:

  • The equipment you need for a group studio

  • How to run an hour-long group lesson

  • What kind of curriculum you should use… and what kind you shouldn’t use

  • How to set up a group classroom

  • How to make group lessons work in a large academy

  • How to train others to run your group classes for you

  • How to convert your studio to group… without parent pushback

  • The messaging you should use in your marketing

  • So much more

The best part?

This live training is going to be free!

There will be a replay, but to get the replay you need to register.

See you on the 29th!

Best,

Daniel and Greg

At GrowYourMusicStudio.com, it’s our mission to build a community of music education entrepreneurs that love building, scaling, and expanding their music studio! We focus on equipping these entrepreneurs with the very best information as it pertains to growing and scaling a successful, profitable music school. We love to help people learn how to market and scale their local and online studios. We do this by showing them how to teach students in a group setting rather than providing a service that can't scale - so they can live a great life and make a great living at the same time.
