| Dear Friend,
I've always loved autumn, and Thanksgiving seems one of the crowning blessings of the season. I hope you will have the opportunity to celebrate thoughtfully and with love, no matter who you're with or where you are celebrating. To share my gratitude in a practical way, I created a Thanksgiving sale on our most popular items with four different specials for you. Included in this sale are Excellence in Literature, the McGuffey Readers, and more. You can read about each individual title by clicking on its poster at my blog or from the front page of the Everyday Education homepage. All sale items include free shipping within the U. S., and the sale ends on 12/12/2014. I would appreciate it if you would share the sale post on social media and pin the posters in Pinterest. I'd like the sale to go as far as possible! Thank you;-).
In book news, I'm happy to report that the Sixth McGuffey Reader has arrived, and we are shipping all the pre-orders we have received. If you pre-ordered at a conference, your books should arrive within the next week or so (allowing for the holiday). If you don't receive them soon, please verify or update your mailing address by emailing us at questionstoanswer @ comcast .net. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Blessings,
Janice Campbell
P.S. We are working on some updates to the Everyday Education site, so you may see a different look when you visit. If you encounter anything strange—links missing or photos not showing, please rest assured we are working as fast as we can;-).

“Gratefulnesse”- A Poem of Thanksgiving and a Recipe
George Herbert's "Gratefulness" is my favorite Thanksgiving poem, and if you have been with me for many years, you know that you’ll receive it each year as my Thanksgiving “article.” It is a poem of grace and beauty, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Read more . . .
A Simple Schedule from Benjamin Franklin If you're feeling a bit frazzled between homeschool and holidays, here's a look at Ben Franklin's personal schedule. Not many of us will have one this simple, but I think one of the biggest lessons to take away is to schedule time for things that truly matter, such as family and friends. Read more . . . |

The new edition of Working it Out is here! Now you can learn to analyze and understand great poetry with the beautiful devotional poems of George Herbert.
This one year study will take you through 51 works of the great 17th-century poet, George Herbert, with an emphasis on seeing the movement of thought within each poem. Though Working it Out was written primarily as a devotional, the book models a thoughtful method for reading and understanding poetry in general. Rather than learning parts of poetry through a dry textbook, you will instead be able to immerse in this devotional guide and finish the year with a greater ability to understand the poetry you read, as well as a deeper faith.
As one of our Thanksgiving specials, we are offering Working it Out for $12 with any other order. I hope you will enjoy this lovely resource! |
