Dear Friend,


I hope you are well and safe. The lockdown is easing in our state, and we are beginning to return to a few of our normal activities. At the same time, there are sad and difficult things happening across our country and the world.


As always, I have found much to contemplate in scripture, poem, and song through this time, and have written a blog post — as much for me as for anyone — on the importance of Remembering What Matters Even (Especially) in Difficult Times. If you've been troubled by recent events, perhaps you'll find it helpful.


May was an eventful month for our family. Despite the quarantine, and minding all its rules (only ten people including bride, groom, and minister, could be present at the ceremony!), our oldest son was married. We are thankful for the blessing of a new daughter, and have enjoyed seeing Craig and Athena start their new life together.

Explorer's Online Camp

We are so excited to be able to partner with Classical Conversations: Explorers Digital Camp! For those of you who are not familiar with Classical Conversations, it is the world’s largest classical homeschooling organization, which is why the fact that they’re offering such a high-quality, digital camp experience is no surprise to us. They know how to capture children’s attention and engage them in having fun while learning!

 

The camp is broken up into six sessions, each one 90-120 minutes, and includes downloadable resources, games, activities, trivia, science experiments and recipes that cover all kinds of educational topics such as geography, history, math, science, and more. 

 

The first camp releases on June 2 and will be available on-demand for anyone who registers afterward. Activities are tiered for different age levels, and you’ll be able to pause each session in case your little one needs more time.
