than we give them credit for..." ~John Holt

Dear Friend,

Summer's almost over and I know that many of you are already back to school. I wanted to share three lovely August-appropriate poems that perfectly capture these last warm days. You may just want to read them and savor the warmth, or you might choose to use one for copywork or recitation. Whatever you do, I hope you enjoy them! You'll find the poetry
at janice-campbell.com.

I'm looking forward to September when I'll be joining SchoolhouseTeachers.com to teach Classics-Based Writing for the coming school year. You can read more about SchoolhouseTeachers and all they offer on their website.

And finally, to help your year go more smoothly, I've pulled an article from the archives. My Telephone Rules for Homeschools really do work to make life more serene and your children more focused, and that's truly a gift for a homeschool mom.

Blessings,

Janice Campbell
