EUROPARC online Conference 2021
In
the two days following the General Assembly, the EUROPARC Conference
will take place online. We have prepared a programme full of
inspiration, to help Protected Areas make the most of the spotlight they
are under! This includes...
3 Keynote Speakers - Ladislav Miko, environmental expert and
politician. Ladislav currently works as head of EU Representation in Slovakia. He will provide us with input on the
policy framework relevant to Protected Areas and the roles Protected Areas need
to fulfil from a policy perspective.
- Dr. George Holmes, Associate Professor of
Conservation and Society at the University
of Leeds. George looks at how Protected Areas and conservation projects emerge. For his keynote address, he has created a special survey for EUROPARC delegates and members, take it here. The
survey looks at the future of conservation by analysing the values and
preferences of nature conservationists. Fill it out and maybe you will
learn something new about yourself! He will discuss the results during his keynote address.
- Frans Schepers, nature conservationist and Director of Rewilding Europe. During his keynote address,
Frans will talk about the need, opportunities and principles for practical
rewilding in Europe, and how this can be achieved.
10 participatory workshops... ...
On all topics important for Protected Area professionals. From Climate
Change to Sustainable Tourism, during our workshops we will work together on solutions and new ideas to take the work of Protected Areas further.
Speakers' Corner... Where peers will present their work and projects on the main stage. Connect to new people and find solutions to common problems!
We hope to see you all on the 6th and 7th of October. Registration closes Sunday 3rd of October 00:00 CET. |
