European Day of Parks 2021 Parks: The Next Generation
|
|
Less than one month to go...
On the 24th of May we invite all Parks and Protected Areas in Europe to celebrate the European Day of Parks! This year we will look to the future with "Parks: The Next Generation". |
|
|
Youth involvement, new visitor management, nature education... There are many ways in which Europe's Protected Areas are preparing for the future and are helping to build back a better, greener and more resilient Europe.
That is exactly what we want to highlight with this year's European Day of Parks.
|
|
Due
to the pandemic, in some countries it might not be possible to organise
LIVE events, whilst in others restrictions are slowly lifted. Whether
your Park plans on organising something on-or offline, we welcome you to
register your events on the EUROPARC website here.
If
organising events is not possible, then lets make some noise on
social media to show the world how Parks are getting ready for The Next
Generation! Please use #EuropeanDayOfParks and be sure to tag us on
Facebook & Twitter @EUROPARC and Instagram @europarc_federation
The
European Day of Parks is a day to celebrate Protected Areas. Let us show the
world in 2021 how Parks are continuously evolving,
adapting and moving forward! |

|
| | Video messages To highlight all Parks are doing even in these strange times, EUROPARC asked its members to send us a one minute video message to tell us how they are getting ready for The Next Generation. We've received great contributions and want to thank all that participated! We will continue to upload them on our social media leading up to the 24th of May.

| | | About the European Day of Parks...
Imagine a day when all Parks and Protected Areas come together
across Europe, to celebrate their successes and declare the value and
benefits of Europe’s Protected Areas to communities, decision-makers and
the wider public. Well, that is EUROPARC’s European Day of Parks!
Every year European Day of Parks takes place on and around 24th
of May. It aims to bring people closer to nature and raise public
awareness on the importance of the natural beauty preserved in Protected
Areas and the importance of conservation and sustainable management of
those places. |
