Subject: Day 2

Hi Friend,

Slight profit for the night.

I didn't expect Turkey to be so bad - I don't think anyone did. They offered very little going forward and Italy fully deserved that emphatic scoreline.

It does make me wonder about the home ground advantage that I spoke about in bet e-mail. It seems that it could be stronger for some teams than first anticipated!

Below are the bets for Saturday. There are 3 matches starting in the afternoon and running through until later in night.

ANALYSIS - WALES v SWITZERLAND

Based on what we saw last night, I think the home/away factor might be big for some teams. Wales and Switzerland play this fixture in Azerbaijan. Switzerland have been in great form recently while Wales have been patchy.

Something that Wales do have is decent fire power. Bale, Wilson, Ramsey, Roberts, James - there is more than enough there to score goals. The same can be said of Switzerland. The strikers are well know (Gavranovic and Seferovic) for their respective European clubs (Zagreb and Benfica).

The odds for the 'Both Teams to Score' are worth this. They sit at 2.38 on Betfair Exchange or 2.30 on the bookmaker. I've gone for the Both Teams to score. In a group where Italy has just coasted to victory, both of these sides will want to win this knowing that Turkey have already opened a door. I don't expect it to be too tight.

I will say that Switzerland usually keep it quite organised. It's such a difficult game in a random location but I think 1-1 could be the score to go with. If not, 2-2 and if I'm pushed to pick a winner, the Swiss.

ANALYSIS - DENMARK v FINLAND

This one is a nice home game for Denmark to get the tournament started.

I think it 'could' be comfortable enough to say Denmark should win this comfortably (lol).

They have beaten Finland at home recently and they are in very good form. The threat from Finland is in the form of Norwich City player, Teemu Pukki and even he is a doubt. I would have probably pushed the stake for bet #3 today, had I be more certain of him being a starter but because I need to get this e-mail out the night before, it's a slight problem.

Denmark have been in very good form since the pandemic started. They have also been very good at home with a string of wins in a row - the only LOSS and DRAW coming to Belgium and England - two of the top sides. Finland are not in that bracket and I wouldn't even put them in the standard bracket. I would categorise them slighly lower which is why I think this is a really good bet for a home win.

ANALYSIS - BELGIUM v RUSSIA

This is a banana skin.

Why?

Belgium are missing Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard - two of their 3 stars. That's a big loss. Their replacements are not too shabby at all, but these players being unavailable will hurt them. They also drew to Greece in one of the warm up games to this tournament (1-1), and beat Croatia (1-0). Another huge factor is that this game is being played in St Petersburg - in other words, it's actually a home game for Russia.

With that being said, you expect Belgium to step up. There is more than enough depth in the squad and they've got some tough experienced players who should be able to cope with what Russia has to throw at them. Both sides are experienced. I think Russia will try and keep it tight but as mentioned, there is just too much firepower and depth in that Belgium side, even without their stars!

Have a good day and you'll get another e-mail me at some stage today or tonight

If you would like to get in touch, I'll be responding to e-mails around midday. I will ensure that I respond BEFORE the Wales game.

Thank you

Kind Regards
John Anthony
