There are certain employees, called "pickers".
They move around the warehouse on a predetermined route to collect items for delivery, scanning each one with a handheld scanner, which times the length between scans.
They NEED to hit a certain number of scans per hour.
Otherwise?
A manager will show up to see what they're doing.
Get enough of those "visits" and you're fired.
But here's what made me really mad...
An Amazon spokeswoman denied the article's claims.
According to her:
"Amazon provides a safe and positive workplace for thousands of people. We are committed to treating every one of our associates with dignity and respect. We don't recognize these allegations as an accurate portrayal of activities in our buildings."
Yeah, whatever dear.
Generic answers like that reek of bull's manure.
It's amazing how twisted a working environment can get.
And it will only get worse.
Personally, I'm glad I got out of this boss-eat-employee game.
Nowadays I visit the bathroom whenever I want.
My daily targets are determined by me.
I don't have to endure supervisors who have never worked hard in their entire lives.
And today, I want to show you how to achieve this type of freedom for yourself.
