I put out a post about how I conduct my business & someone told me I'm "just a beat maker and there's a million people like you". And it wasn't just one person that said it.. Usually I would be offended but I had to dig deeper to understand why people kept saying this over and over.
I finally realized that within the business culture of creativity we are made to believe that there's a "million of us" and we're not special. We're taught to have a fear of being replaced by someone else... Kind of like the end of a bad relationship. The thing we don't realize is that we are special and no one can REPLACE us!
There's 8 billion people on earth and there's enough people for all of us to thrive BUT we're so worried about getting through a narrow door and that's the problem. We all are made to believe that a record label is the only way to creative freedom & it's not true. 2020 was the year that the world realized the creative actually has the upper hand in the new dynamic of business.
With all that being said.. KEEP CREATING.. Don't let anyone tell you that you CAN'T do anything & that you're not special. This world is more dynamic than we know & there's a place for all of us here. Bless up - Epik |
