Is your vision truly clear? Do you know what you want? Have you mapped it out in front of you? Have you set it up on a Goal Board? Written it out so that you know it's real? Some of us under calculate how much it takes to make it. A lot of producers ask how I made it to where I am (no where close to where I want to be) and when I tell them they say it's "too much" or it's because "I already have a following" lol... Not a lot of people understand that you started from their same position. I lived in motels & converted garages when I started..... No one cared about my music. I had to MAKE them care... One at a time. To this day I still have to prove myself, probably now more than ever due to peoples minuscule attention spans. A lot of artists buy beats from me thinking that it's going to be "A Hit" not understanding that theirs hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars that go behind making that happen. 0... I mean 0% of songs that blow up just blow up because of a happening. This is business, all factors are calculated & implemented. Every song, outfit, instagram post & meme. Drake tried to make it seem like he made it off of pure buzz... No he had a 7 Figure investment from the jump. He did have a buzz and it was worth the investment (J Prince) made.
I've been doing this for 11 years now. I started in 2006. I've seen rappers come & go in droves. Full of dreams and aspirations one day & baby mamas/depression the next. When you get into this business it takes more than just dreams. It takes the ability to invest yourself. I know I spoke on this a bit last week but I really want everyone to understand that it might take you 10 years for you to get to where you want to go.
