We are all born with the ability to become great but most of us are too afraid to ever see our full potential, including myself. There has been opportunities that Ive passed on due to my fear of letting others in.
The fear of failure has never been my problem, I have always taken chances when the risk is all my own. When it comes to allowing new people into my world, I put up a wall. I fear the lack of control over my own success. If I fail I can blame myself, but if someone else fails, I fear how I would handle that type of failure.
I came across a video of Will Smith and something he said stuck out to me. "Fear shields your ability to see beauty". There is something beautiful on the other side of this fear. Who knows the type of relationships that could be developed or the new found knowledge I could obtain.
Its a fear that keeps me from reaching my full potential. Its something that I plan on facing and I hope to see the beauty on the other side. What are your fears?
