Subject: No Idols..

As fellow artists, I've been on a profound introspective exploration that I'm eager to share with you – one that uncovers the essence of our craft and challenges the idolization that often entangles us.

Back in 2012, a revelation dawned upon me: I realized I was part of a movement that goes beyond personal ambition, beyond the spotlight, and beyond the title of "Music Gods" that we often attach to ourselves. This realization was a pivotal moment, as it reshaped my perception of our culture and the service we truly offer to each other.

We've all felt it – that yearning to be immortalized, idolized, and placed on an untouchable pedestal like our revered predecessors. Yet, deep within our hearts, we understand that this isn't the essence of what Hip Hop stands for. This genre, this vibrant culture, is not about elevating individuals to unreachable heights; it's about embracing the grit, the competition, and the camaraderie that shapes our shared experience.

Our realm is a competitive sport, a dynamic arena where any crown can be toppled at any moment. This realization, while humbling, underscores the importance of maintaining equilibrium – the equilibrium that keeps us grounded, hungry, and dedicated to the craft.

However, we can't ignore the impact of mass media and formulaic content-driven ideals that often infiltrate our creative minds. Even I, as someone who's been on this journey for years, have fallen victim to these influences. They skew our perspective, shift our focus, and veer us away from the very essence that once drew us to this art form.

Yet, together, we have the power to reshape this narrative. We can lift the veil of idolization, rediscover the true meaning of Hip Hop, and redefine what it means to be an artist in this ever-evolving world. Our journey is not about replicating the mythical Music Gods, but about becoming the best versions of ourselves, channeling our unique voices, and contributing to the vibrant mosaic of Hip Hop.

Here's to dismantling the pedestals and embracing our roles as stewards of an evolving culture.
