I get a lot of Artists/Producers that hit me up & ask me how I "Made It". First thing I tell them is that "I have no destination" so therefore I haven't "Made It". Second thing I say is you have to "Change the way you think". Third thing I do is as them "Would you bet everything on yourself being successful". Most dudes reply with a misguided bravado of "hell yeah" and others just flat out say "no".
From there that tells me a lot of what I need to know. Honestly... It's natural to fear betting everything on yourself. The honest truth is that you won't be successful on your 1st... 2nd... 3rd... 4th try.. It's mad discouraging. There's a form of insanity in the people that keep going after getting knocked on there ass a billion times.
So if you want to know how to "Make It"... Keep going.. In spite of your family... In spite of your age... In spite of the mishaps in your life.
