Music is a tough career to choose. It's hard to believe that someone could live off of the creation of music. Not for the creator but for the people that are around you.Your Mom/Dad... Wife/Kids. It's not easy creating money out of sounds in the air. ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE AN ARTIST. Creating money out of melody & rhyme is almost impossible. Or is it?
See the problem that I see is that you're either too OLD to change, or too YOUNG & naive to see what's right in front of you. It takes 1000 views to make 1 dollar on each streaming platform (YouTube,Spotify,Apple Music). I know what you're thinking "I can't even get that many plays!" You're probably right.
You're probably just uploading one song/album & sitting back like you're some type of MUSIC GOD waiting for the plays to roll in but..... NO. You're living in the age of consumption. One song getting 1000 plays a day? No... May not happen for you. But in today's market you have to be more consistent. 10 Songs getting 1000 plays for you? Definitely. But are you willing to DEDICATE yourself to that? Are you willing to learn how to RECORD YOURSELF to create that much?
