Tillbaka från High Rockabilly!
Jojomen, den 17e upplagan av den spanska festivalen ”High Rockabilly” gick av stapeln mellan den 6e och 10e augusti. En grym festival fylld med rätt musik, sol, värme och cerveza.
 
Det var väldigt trevligt att vara tillbaka där, man träffar massor av likasinnade människor och många glada återseenden blir det på ett evenemang som detta. Några av er som får detta nyhetsbrev träffade jag på också, mycket trevligt!
 
Fler och fler svenskar tycks leta sig dit och denna gång var det dessutom 3 svenska band bokade, förutom ”mitt” band (Riley McOwen & The Sleazy Rustic Boys) spelade också The Hi-Winders och The Domestic Bumblebees.

Succé igen och ny singel!
För tio år sedan gjorde The Domestic Bumblebees stor succé med sin spelning på ett av festivalens beach party gig, de upprepade den succén i år då de under fredagen verkligen fick hela tältet nere på stranden att rocka loss!
 
I samband med denna spelning fick vi en alldeles ny vinyl singel med The Domestic Bumblebees i våra händer. En singel som våra vänner på det spanska bolaget Sleazy Records släppte under festivalen.
 
Singeln innehåller två låtar från bandets senaste album ”Cheater”: Mathilda & Summer Nights.
 
500 exemplar är gjord av denna och det kommer ej att bli någon mer pressning, mao en ”limited edition”!
 
Vi fick en liten del av dessa med oss hem och den finns nu i vår webshop här.
När dessa är slut så är de slut, först till kvarn alltså.....

Now back from High Rockabilly!

The 17:th edition of the Spanish festival ”High Rockabilly” took place between the 6:th and the 10:th of August. A great festival filled with good music, sun, warmth (wich us Swedes needed after this horrible summer.) and cerveza of course!
 
It was truly great to be back there, meeting alot of likeminded people and also at an event like this you’ll encounter people one hasn’t seen in a long time, wich is great.

Some of you whom recieve’s this newsletter I also ran into, nice!
 
More and more Swede’s seems to find their way there and this time there were also 3 Swedish bands on the bill, apart from my own band (Riley McOwen & The Sleazy Rustic Boys) , The Hi-Winders and The Domestic Bumblebees also performed at High Rockabilly.
 
Succéss and a brand new 7"
Ten years ago The Domestic Bumblebees made a huge succéss at one of the festivals afternoon beach party gigs, they repeated that succéss this year as they blew the roof of off the tent at the beach!
 
In conjunction to this gig we recieved a brand new vinyl 7” by The Domestic Bumblebees. This 7” was released during the festival by our friends at the Spanish label Sleazy Records.
 
The 7” contains two songs from their latest album ”Cheater”: Mathilda & Summer Nights.
 
A limited edition of 500 copies is made and there’ll be no re-press.
 
We got some copies with us back home and they are now available in our webshop here.
